Lisa Edelstein is an American actor, most famous for her role in House, a Fox medical show, House. Her family was from Wayne and was raised in a strict Jewish tradition. When she was 18 she moved into New York City to study at Tisch School of the Arts. The school quickly became a fixture in the club scene in New York. Her performances were so captivating that the local press noticed. She used both her musical training and fame to write and perform in a new musical, Positive Me. Awake to the Wild Side, a show that she was host for MTV was soon her job. Once Awake on the Wild Side had stopped airing, she started acting in films and television, first with small role. As time went on, her work in acting grew.
